Review: Working with Marissa Peer and Rapid Transformation Therapy (RTT)

RTT is a method of hypnotherapy, developed by Marisa Peer that has successfully helped thousands of people worldwide to rapidly overcome a variety of issues, including childhood conflicts. RTT is a multi-disciplined therapy incorporating hypnotherapy, NLP, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I remember when I first came across Marisa Peer in 2015. Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) was just being introduced to the public for the first time as a modality. At that time it was first known as the Marisa Peer Method. I was excited as I was already getting excellent results with my clients in one to two sessions, and here was another successful therapist offering a modality for achieving rapid results for success in therapy.

I was inspired to take Marisa’s intensive therapist training in the spring of 2016 in London. The training was fascinating. Marisa always had such interesting case studies to share. The course attracting a number of amazing practitioners many who have become amazing therapists. Within a year I had completed additional training and had become a Clinical Hypnotherapist.

Since then I have seen many clients and each one has presented their unique journey. I am amazed how we all weave our lives. Although some clients have similarities in experiences and ways to cope with conflict or suffering, there have never been two that have been the same. Everyone has their own path.

What they all have in common is that at the root of their suffering, they all have a fear of rejection. Under the fear of rejection, they all have shame in some form or another. The shame is there because they believed a lie about themselves due to the negative behaviour of someone else. This happens because, as children, we misunderstand other people’s negative behaviours. No one teaches us that other people are suffering, hurt, confused, or damaged.

When others act in hurtful ways, we assume it is because there is something wrong with us. However, the truth is this… there was nothing wrong with you. As a child, you were just learning how to be. You, just like every other child, have every right to make mistakes without being labeled as wrong, unlovable or rejectable. You deserved love, respect and to be cared for.

Even today, you deserve unconditional love. So I am here to say, unequivocally, I love you unconditionally. No matter what you’ve done, no matter what has been done to you, no matter what anyone has said to you… You are beautiful, lovable and acceptable just as you are.
